Virginia Beach Top 10 Caches by Favorite Points

 With the 13th Annual GCHR Picnic fast approaching, I figured I would put together several lists detailing the best caches around the area.  Today's list will be the best caches, based on favorite points, in the city of Virginia Beach.

The red dot (next to the "Y" in York) is the approximate location of the picnic.

Here is the list for Virginia Beach – top 10 caches based on favorite points earned:

Note: Virginia beach is a huge city.  From the picnic it will take between 1 to 2 hours to reach different parts of Virginia Beach.

1.    GC6DC2 – Miles From Land – 213 favorite points - hidden by StevesFamily.  This virtual cache is actually located on one of the islands for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.  Hidden in July of 2002 it might just fill in a stat block for you.

2.    GC29A2T – GOOD KING NEPTUNE – 177 favorite points – hidden by theCachounds.
A very nice cache located almost on the beach.  The cache is not that
hard to find but getting it with all the muggles around is another thing.

3.    GC18YZ6 – Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Travel Bug Museum  – 113 favorite points – hidden by Frogmen83.  This nice little cache is located at a museum right on the beach.  This is another cache where the muggles may be a problem.

4.    GC27RFB – A “Reel” Fishing Tale – 92 favorite points – hidden by Frogmen83.
A great cache near the southern end of the “Beach”.

5.   GC464E – Norwegian Lady – 76 favorite points – hidden by Sea_Dog.
A virtual cache located right on the beach.  This is a rather old cache hidden in March of 2002.

This fun little cache is located near one of the many golf courses in Virginia Beach.

7.    GC13MN5 – Hugh Mongus II – 58 favorite points – hidden by Frogmen83.
A very cute cache located at Ocean Breeze Waterpark.  Plenty of parking nearby.

A great little cache located at the end of a road.

This is a easy virtual cache hidden near plenty of parking.
