Hampton Top Caches by Favorite Points

Planning your caching around the picnic?  Coming in from out of town, and want to make sure you don’t miss some of the best caches?  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be generating several lists to help with this.

Each list will detail the best geocaches in each city in the Hampton Roads and surrounding areas based on the number of favorite points these caches have earned.

1.    GC2V4ED – From Her Bedroom Window II – 30 favorite points - hidden by GrandpaGene.  A cute cache located in a nice neighborhood.  Located just 14 miles from Newport News Park.

2.    GC1Y4FV – Plug It – 25 favorite points - hidden by Bad_Wolfe.  A quick Park & Grab located approximately 13 miles from Newport News Park.

3.    GC2NPQV – Tom Hanks #4 - 22 favorite points – hidden by RusandMil.  Located near the Air Power Park in Hampton this cache is just over 13 miles from Newport News Park.

4.    GCMFBY – Bridge Over HRCP – 21 favorite points – hidden by Team Roberson.  Located near a main avenue through Hampton this cache is less than 10 miles from Newport News Park 

5.    GCGM7A – A Grand View Cache – 21 favorite points – hidden by CraZy Cache.  This is Hampton’s oldest active cache and is located a nice walk down the beach from parking which is about 16 miles from Newport News Park.

6.    GC1JVMX – You’re gonna put that where ???? – 20 favorite points – hidden by tax-man.  This amusing little multi-cache is located near a medical facility and is approximately 12 miles from Newport News Park.

7.    GC3CRAF – John E. Cache’s Flying Fish – 16 favorite points – hidden by GrandpaGene.  Located near a popular sighing hole this cache is about 14 miles from Newport News Park.

8.    GC3XVN0 – Scabbers goes golfing – 16 favorite points – hidden by Jerseyjaky1.  A traditional Cache with a unique camo.  Approximately 10 miles from Newport News Park.

9.    GC2D2GA – Bird Watching in Hampton Roads – 15 favorite points – hidden by GeoMunster1313.  This interesting puzzle cache is another that takes you on a short tour of the area and is located approximately 13 miles from Newport News Park.

10.  GC2X218 – Lows? – 15 favorite points – hidden by irish.redneck.  Close parking awaits you as you go for this cache approximately 13 miles from Newport News Park.
