- Find and log a geocache = 5 gold coins.
- Find and log a geocache with 10 or more Favorite points = 7 gold coins.
- When logging any geocache, earn double gold coins (points) for the D and T rating.
- Attend any event cache = 15 gold coins.
- Retrieve a trackable from a cache = 3 gold coins.
- Drop a trackable into a cache = 4 gold coins.

Senior National Park Lifetime Pass
For the last few years there have been numerous postings about the cost of the Lifetime Pass
for Seniors (that is 62 and older by the way) getting ready to increase.
I know when I recently got mine the nice lady counter asked me if I was
reacting to the impending increase. When I said "Yes" she stated she
had been hearing about the increase in price for years!!!
Well now it is official. Starting August 28th, the price for a seniors
LIFETIME pass (yes one pass gets you into more than 2,000 sites
and parks across the country that are managed
by the National Park Service) goes from the $10 current price to $80.
Now really, if you think about it, $80 is not bad for what you get!!!
But $10 is a while lot better.
Yes, you can order them online (but they charge you another $10) - or -
you can check out this list (click here) to see where to purchase your lifetime pass.
By the way current U.S. military members and dependents are eligible for free annual passes!

Either way, we move at the pace of the slowest geocacher in the
group and we do NOT leave anyone behind.
The target for this outing are ten caches along the PAVED TRAIL
starting at the above coords and ending at Bisons Galore #19.
We will take at vote at the end of he outing to determine which,
nearby resturant we will select for our lunch!!!

Bring your GPS to Norton, Virginia the weekend after the GCHR picnic and
find out exactly what a WOODBOOGER is!!!
There will be a new Geo-Trail, a new Geo-art, and 3 events.
There will also be a 50 cache geoart published on Sept. 8th.
There will be a big event on September 9th at Flag Rock in Norton VA
for the new Woodbooger Geotrail 2017 which includes
a custom made geocoin you can receive after
completing all 20 geocaches in the trail.
